Port Inn & Suites Kennebunk, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We stayed here October 2023 and got the best night's sleep we ever had; I still talk about it to this day. We didn't have high expectations for Kennebunk in general since we were using it as a rest stop on our drive up to Acadia & Bar Harbor, but quite honestly I'd go back to Kennebunk before I went back to Acadia or Bar Harbor and I'd stay here again when I did. The hotel looks like they took an old motel setup and gutted everything, so it's very clean and more modern than you'd expect. The continental breakfast was good, and it looked like they had a screened-in area out back to eat if it was a bit warmer. It was also on the main road which was nice because we saw the signage that the town was having a fall festival the next morning, so we stayed for that.

Drew (Owner/front desk) was very helpful, knowledgeable and quick to solve any issues. (Fixed our TV at 10pm when the input was messed up and channels needed to be re-scanned). Rooms are clean but basic with all needs and very comfy beds but not overly fancy. Nice little breakfast with waffles, bacon, toast, yogurt, muffins, coffee and cappuccino machine and OJ. (The other juice machine is still broken as per other reviews). There was a single laundry unit available for use ($3/load). Safe, quiet area altho we did have another tipsy guest try to enter our room (young foreign ladies) who I suspect just made a mistake after a fun night out. All in all cute little place we will definitely stay at again when we visit the coast. Great quality for good price. Nice family owned place where you're taken care of quickly. This was a great little place we stumbled upon in our travels. We needed a room for the night and places were expensive and selling out fast during our time in the area. We grabbed a room here for the night. The room was clean and decent and the staff was SO incredibly nice. The heated pool was the perfect temperature and we met another nice family on vacation there as well. The beds were comfy and had full body pillows and all of the lights and remotes and air worked. No complaints. Great alternative to the busier, more expensive places nearby.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. It’s a very cozy and relaxing place — perfect for getting some rest and unwinding. The atmosphere feels just like home from the moment you arrive. The staff is truly 5-star, always friendly and attentive. I especially want to highlight Stephanie at the front desk — her warmth and joy are contagious! She makes you feel at home every step of the way. I would come back without hesitation, as many times as needed. Highly recommended!

My wife and I needed a getaway after a death in the family. When we arrived Drew at the front desk was amazingly kind and caring. He was very meticulous explaining all the features of the hotel and compassionate about our loss. He is a true asset to his company. It was great to refresh and recharge in such a wonderful clean and comfortable place!

Our stay at Port Inn and Suites was excellent. The front desk clerk Drew went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and fun as possible. He really deserves a raise. He even volunteered to take photos for our group. The rooms were spacious and clean and there is an excellent BBQ restaurant located directly across the street. It was perfect for our girl's night. We had no complaints, and everyone had a blast.

Very dog friendly and they even gave our dog a goodie bag with treats and a bowl. Loved that it was large dog friendly. The walls are a bit thin, we could hear people walking above us, I’m a light sleeper, so if that’s you as well I’d recommend bringing a fan or some sort of white noise and it helps a lot. Overall I’d recommend this place. Close to the beaches, and Kennebunkport- short drive away-

The staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The area was nice away from crowds and very quiet. Enjoyed our stay.
